Installing Speeedfins is a remarkably easy process.

The green, reusable Avocado (dam / router jig) is aligned and glued, using 3M Super 77 spray adhesive or double-sided adhesive transfer tape, to the pre-laminated board.

One power tool only is required, a long blade 1/4 inch router / laminate trimmer, to route the single cavity for each fin pot ~ minimum depth 19mm / 3/4'' The Speeed hand scriber is then used to under cut the board laminate around the perimeter of the routed cavity, increasing structural resin to resin bond.

The single fin pot clicks to the NOW RED (was blue) Set-up jig which is placed into the routed cavity and aligned, held in position with tape, plasticene or putty.

Mix laminating resin only on a slow over night cure CATALIST 1/2% to 3/4% ONLY. Pour resin mix from long snout plastic sauce bottle and flood to near top of dam. 40mm each.
Next day when fully cured, pull Set-up jigs from secured pots and sand excess resin flush to board. Deburr throat of slot and ensure pots are free of debris before inserting fins.

To insert fins, place board on ground, stand over tail of board, use two hands as illustrated in the PDF Installation instruction sheet.
To RETRO-FIT a speeedfins pot (set fins or rigid fin system) repeat the installation process.
1. Spray and reposition Avocado over existing system
2. Route out only the perimeter of the pot, circumnavigating avocado 1/4'' deep in 4 stages
3. Re measure router depth on set-up jig
4. Route perimetre of pot for 4th and final depth cut
5. Now route from front to rear straight through the slot and clip
6. Circumnavigate once more and the remaining pot should snap free
7. Remove debris, re-route entire cavity once again to ensure base is flat and vacuum clean
8. Follow installation procedure as above Bring your old board to life ~ RETROFIT SPEEEDFINS
